Overcoming False Beliefs
We may believe almost anything, but we can understand only that which actually exists. When we believe that we are mortals, we are bound to experience the results of our belief. This belief is all there is to mortal existence and its perplexities. But we can understand that we are spiritual identities and can demonstrate what we understand. This is the Science of being.
The substance of immortal Mind is Spirit, and Spirit is the source of all that constitutes our being. This Mind holds its identities in perpetual order and harmony, a state which is analogous to the kingdom of heaven spoken of in the Bible.
Mortal mind, on the contrary, is the suppositional source of all that is mortal and material. But this is a spurious mind, not genuine, not real; it is the counterfeit of immortal Mind. From this supposed mind, whatever is imperfect, defective, or discordant derives its fictitious being, including all inharmonious conditions of the body.
