The power of God to destroy all...
The power of God to destroy all inharmony has been proved to me on many occasions through the application of Christian Science. Each healing has brought an opportunity to learn more of God's law and omnipotence. An experience I had about three years ago showed me how important it is to trust completely in His allness.
A pain in my left shoulder had been troubling me intermittently, but at first I did not pay much attention to it. When it was severe I denied it as unreal because not created by God, divine Love, the only creator, and I was able to get relief. I was busy preparing for a business trip to South America and mistakenly thought I did not have time for serious study.
Several weeks before I was to leave I had a routine X-ray examination, which is required by the rules of a Veterans' Administration Hospital where I serve as a Special Services volunteer. The technician who took the X-ray picture, and who had never found anything to comment on before, informed me that the film showed what he believed to be a symptom of a serious case of bursitis, and he recommended that I consult a physician immediately.
