My husband and I had just...
My husband and I had just purchased bicycles, and I had to try mine the first opportunity I had, although I was alone. We live on a steep hill; so I rode out of our driveway, then turned to ride back into the garage.
Later I learned that our neighbor, whom I had seen turning in at her driveway, had gone into her house for a few minutes, and when she came out again she saw me lying in my driveway. Apparently I had fallen from the bicycle, striking hard the left side of my face and head. She was frightened and went to another neighbor for help. He carried me into my house. Although I was unaware of what had happened, I regained consciousness enough to assure them both that I was all right and that my husband would be home any minute; whereupon they both left me.
When my husband did arrive some minutes later, I was standing in the garage waiting for him. He was quite calm, and as I kept repeating to him, "I can't remember. What has happened?" he was denying the suggestion of loss of memory and affirming the omnipresence of the divine Mind. He called a Christian Science practitioner, explaining that I had apparently had an accident and was showing symptoms of concussion and injury to my face.
