Prof. Carl Leiden Universtiy of Texas in the Christian Herald New York, New York
It is not surprising that after the flight of Friendship Seven many of our religious beliefs and values are being subjected to a searching scrutiny. ...
It seems to me to be profoundly true that we have much to relearn and much to reassess. It appears to me that the essence of the Christian spirit must lie within individual man and can become evident only by his relations with other men. A Christian may reveal himself to God in a variety of ways but he reveals himself to his fellow men in a unique manner: Does he live the Christian life? No amount of shouting, genuflecting or propagandizing can substitute for the simple test of Christian living. This is indeed the test.
