I wish to express my sincere...
I wish to express my sincere gratitude for Christian Science and to tell how it came to me.
It was in the spring of the year 1894 that Christian Science was brought to our home by an aunt, a dear sister of my mother, who had lived in the home of a Christian Science practitioner. She had been wonderfully healed and was so uplifted by the truth she had heard that she wanted to come and tell us of it. She had her copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.
We were living on a ranch. My mother had been suffering from stomach trouble for a long time. She was afraid to eat very much, and even a drink of water would distress her. She was slowly starving. She had been taking many kinds of patent medicines, but after hearing the truths her sister related and hearing her read from the textbook, Science and Health, my mother said: "I know this is the truth. I am going to be healed."
