Enlightened Prayer Enlarges Membership Participation in Church Affairs
Experience has shown that the churches which make the most progress are the ones whose members are willing and ready to serve their church and to support its activities with prayerful metaphysical work.
A church in Michigan worked out a program of several preparatory meetings prior to the giving of a Christian Science lecture. These meetings inspired the members to greater activity, which resulted in a large attendance at the lecture. In the audience were many strangers and newcomers to Science. Several instances of healing were reported afterward.
With the loving desire to meet a need of some of their members, a church in Los Angeles appointed a committee to provide transportation for those who would otherwise be unable to attend church services and meetings. This provision has been gratefully accepted, and both the recipients and the drivers of the cars have benefited spiritually thereby.
