Many centuries ago the Psalmist sang: "O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people" (Ps. 105:1), and, "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy" (Ps. 107:2). A Christian Science testimony is an individual opportunity to express gratitude for the healings that one has received and to share these blessings with others.

I have had many healings through the study and application of Science. There have been numerous lessons to be learned—lessons that brought their accompanying blessings which prove God's ever-present help in every human problem. I am increasingly grateful each day for a clearer understanding and a firmer faith.

Many years ago I was instantaneously healed of the smoking habit. It seemed that everything was immediately washed clean. Colors appeared brighter and objects more distinct. The smog of materialism vanished before a clearer understanding of Christian Science. I may add that all desire for alcohol disappeared at the same time. This mental housecleaning resulted in membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, followed by class instruction.
