About thirty years ago, when I was unemployed during an economic depression and after I had the privilege of class instruction in Christian Science, I asked my teacher to help me see that man is always in his right place in God's creation and is fully occupied with his only function, that of reflecting divine Mind.
It seemed right that I continue to commute to New York on a regular schedule, going to a Christian Science Reading Room to study, and from there to follow any leadings that might come to my thought.
One of these leadings looked interesting. It would take me into a branch of banking with which I was somewhat familiar but in which I had no experience. An appointment was made for the required routine physical examinations.
