My heart overflows with gratitude...
My heart overflows with gratitude to God, who has unquestionably guided me to this wonderful way of Life, which is Christian Science. As far back as I can remember, I had always been searching for an intelligent explanation of the manifestation of divine Love.
I was faithful to the religion in which I had been brought up until I reached the age when one asks for, then demands, answers to the questions that arise concerning existence and the relation of man to God. I looked into different aspects of theology with the help of qualified people, but nothing was able to satisfy me.
For years after that I read books on Oriental philosophy and investigated other religions, hoping to find in them what I could not find in my own, until the day came when, discouraged with a world that seemed to me to be unjust, rather evil, and, above all, incoherent, I found myself completely atheistic, and my head full of all sorts of theories about existence, each one more complicated than the other.
