In the early spring many college students and high school seniors are making plans to continue or to start college in the fall. The college organization information committee in a branch church, with the approval of its executive board, often finds it helpful to plan an informal meeting so that college-bound students in the area may gain information about those activities provided for in Article XXIII, Section 8, of the Manual of The Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy.

The purpose of these informal meetings is to present a comprehensive picture of college organization activities and their mission. Frequently, a series of three-minute talks is helpful in explaining organization weekly testimony meetings, lecture arrangements, literature distribution activities, approaches for reaching strangers, receptions for newcomers, chapel and interreligious programs, displays and campus advertising, relations with college officials, alumni work, and a variety of other important organization activities. Also frequently covered are such subjects as the Biennial College Meeting in Boston, the importance of membership in The Mother Church, steps to take when starting an organization, how to deal with campus medical requirements.
