"To day shalt thou be with meIn paradise,"Jesus' promise to the thiefBeside him on the cross;

Paradise in escape from fear,In rest from pain;And on that day,At last acknowledging the Christ,The repentant one,Salvation begun,Could prove beyond that hour,And step by step,What Jesus so well knew while here,Even on the cross,That there is no fear,No pain, no lossIn the todayOf Spirit's allness.
