Words could never express my...

Words could never express my gratitude for Christian Science. This truth first came to me many years ago through my mother's healing of a condition considered incurable by medical specialists. Being in my teens at that time, I was able to attend a Christian Science Sunday School. I shall always be grateful for the love expressed there and the truths learned, which were so helpful in later years.

A few days after my second daughter was born, there appeared on her face a disfiguring birthmark. Physicians, when asked about its removal, could not promise any safe treatment. I then consulted a dear friend who was a Christian Science practitioner. Her words allayed my fear, and she reminded me that "with God all things are possible" (Mark 10:27).

The baby was given Christian Science treatment, and, though the healing was slow, it was perfect. A passage particularly helpful during those many months is found on page 525 of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. It reads: "Everything good or worthy, God made. Whatever is valueless or baneful, He did not make,—hence its unreality."
