LEADERSHIP
Do we follow, with stumbling, His chosen scribe,
Meeting demands with diatribe—
Seeing no more than gifted pen
Or talent like that of other men?
Then we resemble the darkened one,
Who saw no more than carpenter's son.
When sweet Soul-sense will once behold
The anointed one, so long foretold,
Then love and light leap to obey,
And scale the steeps of Christly way.
For love is proved alone by deeds,
Acknowledging the one who leads.
