Though I attended a Christian Science Sunday School for many years, as I reached adulthood I seemed to be very far from its teachings; and later my husband and I joined an orthodox church.
There came a time in my life, however, when it seemed as though all human effort to right a sense of inharmony in our home had failed.
There was also financial lack; so I needed to work and leave our young daughter in another's care. Besides this, my employment was very unsatisfactory; there were relatives who expressed much resentment toward us; and we were having great difficulties with the business arrangements in regard to a house we had sold.
