I am very grateful for Christian Science...
I am very grateful for Christian Science and for the healings I have had. Since my first healing in 1910, that of appendicitis, I have had many other healings; some have come through my own prayer, and others have come through the work of our wonderful practitioners. I should like to share with you two of my recent experiences.
One night around eleven o'clock I woke up with intense pain in one of my knees. I tried to get up but could not because of the pain, and I fell back on the bed. I propped my leg up the best I could and stayed that way until morning; then I called a practitioner and asked for treatment.
After a while I was able to arise and dress, and I lay on the couch until five o'clock. Then I tried to get to the kitchen. The pain was very sharp; but I hobbled to the door, and holding on to it I finally declared three times, "It is a mortal lie." The pain left immediately and has never returned.
