To the weary wanderer in search of comfort, a Christian Science Reading Room is a beacon; to the busy person who needs a few moments of quiet contemplation and to those burdened with grief or illness, a Reading Room is a haven. As one of the important centers for Christian Science activity, so wisely provided by Mrs. Eddy, it brings the healing and regenerating truth to many. It makes available to mankind the records of truth, through which one may understand the practical value of the statement (John 1:1): "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
