It is my desire to express sincere...
It is my desire to express sincere gratitude for the many blessings received through the study and application of Christian Science for nearly fifty years.
Before I knew anything of the teachings of Christian Science, when meeting different people during my day's work, I found that those whom I most appreciated knowing were frequently Christian Scientists. However, it was about two years before I really learned of its teachings after physicians had pronounced my illness of tuberculosis to be incurable.
One day a stranger came to my home to see a member of the household, and while there she questioned me as to the kind of work I had been in the habit of doing. On the pretext of needing some information which I could give her, she invited me and my young son to come home with her. "I was a stranger, and ye took me in: ... I was sick, and ye visited me" (Matt. 25:35, 36).
