Christian Science was offered to me at a time when I was very much dissatisfied with the teachings of an orthodox church of which I had been an earnest member since early childhood. After attending my first testimony meeting in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, on a Wednesday evening, I knew that Christian Science was what I wanted, and I never had any desire to attend another service in my old church.

My first healing, that of chronic constipation, resulted from my reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Christian Science has met my every need for more than thirty-six years now, and I am humbly grateful for our beloved Leader and her revelation of Truth to the world.

I shall never cease to be grateful for an instantaneous healing I experienced while conducting a Wednesday evening testimony meeting. During the reading, I felt as though I were going to faint, and my voice seemed farther and farther away from me. It seemed that I would be unable to continue the service; but I acknowledged God's sustaining power, presence, and protection, and they gave me all the support I needed.
