This testimony expresses my gratitude for a healing I experienced. Christian Science came to me when I was sick, miserable, and fearful. About three years ago I had severe pains in my back and consulted a doctor. After having me X-rayed, the doctor diagnosed a slipped disk. Only an operation could help me, he said; and after the operation they would have to put me in a plaster cast for several months.

I was so afraid when I heard this that I could not decide whether I should have the operation or not; so I asked for a little time to think it over. The doctor warned me not to wait too long because the condition could become suddenly worse.
