THE BLESSED OF THE LORD

Oh, firmly close the door upon the past!
It has no part in Love's eternal now;
Nor has the future, nebulous and vast.
An answer to man's searching why and how.

Spent yesterdays—unborn tomorrows—need
No records, since in pure reality
Only the present moment holds the seed
Of all that ever was or is to be.
