Giving a Christian Science Lecture
Preparation for the Lecture
[This is the second of four addresses given at the meeting in the Extension of The Mother Church on June 5, 1963. Another address will appear next week.]
Inspired, enthusiastic preparation for a Christian Science lecture is a practical way in which the church member may perform his duty to God, to his Leader, and to mankind.
Metaphysical work on the part of the entire membership is needed, not just by the lecture committee. Lecture preparatory meetings should be special membership meetings, thoughtfully and prayerfully worked out. As each one gains an appreciation of the value of a lecture, he sees it as an opportunity to give, to extend the Cause of Christian Science.
