Can God Be Known?

"We can discern something of God's nature in every spiritual quality which is expressed around us"

In his last precious hours with his students before the crucifixion, Jesus declared: "This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent" (John 17:3). In his great love for humanity, Jesus would not have taught that eternal life depended on knowing God, were it not possible for them to attain to this understanding. But how can men know God?
