Mrs. Eddy tells us in Science and Health (p. 66), "Trials are proofs of God's care." For many years I had pondered the meaning of this statement, and the following is an account of how its meaning unfolded to me.
A number of years ago, with the help of a Christian Science practitioner, my husband had a healing of heart trouble for which our whole family is very grateful. While the healing was taking place, it seemed necessary to me to report my husband's progress or lack of progress to my parents each day.
