Dating

Keeping in communion with God enables us to extend or to accept invitations wisely, to recognize and demonstrate true attractiveness, to experience what is lovely, to be confidently alive, and to rejoice in abundant good. It does not rob anyone of a thoroughly good time in any respect.

Dating times can unfold the joys of Soul. The beautiful qualities which appear as friendships develop, the expressions of mutual trust in and affection for another, the selfless love that blesses others with a stand for good, even though the stand may not be immediately appreciated—these are some of the many hues in the picture of heavenly harmony which can become part of conscious experience.

Christian Science teaches that the source of all good is God. God is Love, and God is Soul. When we test every thought to see whether it comes from this source, we learn the way to be sure of a good time. Suggestions that we may have a good time by trusting another source of thought are mere traps to keep us from having a good time.
