I am very grateful to be able to testify to the healing power of Christian Science. About three years ago our eleven-year-old son came to me one day and said he had some growths on his feet which were very painful. They proved to be an infectious form of wart.

Treatment through prayer was begun for the boy by a practitioner, and I gave him all the spiritual support I could too; but the condition did not yield. Then one day I prayed to God to be shown what else I should do, and very quickly these words of Mrs. Eddy came to me from Science and Health (p. 37): "It is possible,—yea, it is the duty and privilege of every child, man, and woman,—to follow in some degree the example of the Master by the demonstration of Truth and Life, of health and holiness." The emphasis seemed to be on the word "child," and I realized that here was an opportunity for the boy to make his own contribution to a demonstration "of health and holiness."

I repeated all this to him and pointed out that the truths he was learning in Sunday School and from the daily study of the Bible Lessons, given in the Christian Science. Quarterly, gave him sufficient understanding to solve his problems as they came along, and that here was a challenge to him to make his own demonstration.
