A Lesson from Columbus
[Of Special Interest to Children]
One day Elaine came to her mother with a problem. She wanted to go to see a Christian Science practitioner about something that was bothering her. She had always gone to the Christian Science Sunday School and knew that the answer to any kind of problem is to be found in the truth that is always discussed there.
Some ugly warts on the fingers of her left hand were bothering her. She was very conscious of them because she was left-handed and saw them whenever she wrote. Also, her friends were beginning to notice them and comment upon them.
She and her parents had had some talks about man's perfection as the child of God and about the beauty of God's creation, but the error seemed to persist. So now Elaine felt she wanted to see a practitioner.
