The evidence of divine Mind's healing power and absolute control is to me as certain as the evidence of my own existence" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 177). I have been a Christian Scientist for as long as I can remember, for Christian Science was presented to my mother in a time of need, and I started to attend the Sunday School at the age of two. Every need in my experience has been met through the application of the teachings of Science, and I can certainly echo Mrs. Eddy's words above.

However, I feel that the greatest spiritual unfoldment came to me through class instruction. The teacher's conviction, spirituality, and clear presentation of Truth gave me an assurance and understanding I shall never forget. We owe a debt of gratitude for Mrs. Eddy's provision for class instruction. It is truly a holy experience and has been the highlight of my life. It has been of immeasurable help in every daily experience in the rearing of a family.

Our son, then aged seven, came home from school one day complaining that one of his feet hurt. He was in pain, and we stayed up with him during the night. From the remarks he made about getting off the bus, we thought he had sprained his ankle; but later he complained that the other foot hurt; then his arms and other parts of his body began to hurt too. We stood steadfastly for man's perfection as the spiritual offspring of God and had prayerful help from a practitioner, whose love and understanding gave us much encouragement and assurance.
