It is with a heart which is grateful for the teachings of Christian Science that I submit this testimony. I have experienced numerous physical healings, and I am grateful to God for them all and for the solution of many problems either through my own understanding and application of the truth or through the help of Christian Science practitioners.

About forty-five years ago I knew nothing of Science and was in a hospital. Several weeks after the birth of our daughter, I had become ill with peritonitis, and an immediate operation was performed. After the operation the doctors believed that my condition was such that I would not recover.

Then on the recommendation of a friend, not a Christian Scientist, who was visiting at the home of a relative, my husband called a practitioner for help. I was not being given any further medical treatment, and the practitioner began to pray for me. A sister-in-law came to visit me in the hospital and read to me from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.
