A diligent effort to understand...
A diligent effort to understand God through the teachings of Christian Science transformed my human experience into one that has been full and joyous, and I wish to express my sincere gratitude.
Class instruction was such a wonderful inspiration that I felt a deep urge to know more and more of God. On the way home from class, I turned to these words in "Christian Healing" by Mrs. Eddy (p. 19): "Tireless Being, patient of man's procrastination, affords him fresh opportunities every hour."
The words "tireless Being" gave me such an expansive thought about God that I decided to begin to list all the names for God that I could find in the Bible and in Mrs. Eddy's writings. From then on, each time I found a new one, I would jot it down, and I found over sixty. Often I found a new term when I was having a problem of some sort to be solved, and I would become so joyous that the difficulty would then dissolve.
