I should like to bear witness to...
I should like to bear witness to the effectiveness of Christian Science healing, which was demonstrated when a bone in one of my fingers was apparently broken.
The injury occurred when I was hurrying out of the house one day and struck the knuckles of one hand with great force on the steel edge of our kitchen cabinets. For a little time the pain was great, but a firm holding to the spiritual facts that God's child, His spiritual offspring, which man actually is, is never for a moment outside His tender care and that matter is neither substantial nor intelligent brought gradual relief from discomfort. Within twenty-four hours the incident had been forgotten, and I was using the hand normally.
However, a day or so later, while washing my hands, I noticed that a part of one finger was very tender, and when I touched it, I could feel a bone sliding under the skin in an abnormal fashion.
