My first healing in Christian Science...

My first healing in Christian Science took place when I was four years old. At that time my eyes had to be bathed open each morning, and the doctors gave little hope of my being able to see properly. Through the prayerful work in Science of an aunt and uncle, with whom I was living at the time, I had a complete healing. I have never had to wear glasses.

My wife and I have had many proofs in our home of the healing efficacy of Christian Science. Our two children were enrolled in the Sunday School at an early age. I am very grateful that they have both continued their study of Science since leaving the Sunday School. We have received protection on many occasions while traveling by motorcar or by aircraft.

One day about two years ago I became suddenly ill while I was at work. It was shortly after lunch, and when the condition continued I requested that I be taken home, explaining that I was a Christian Scientist and did not want medical treatment. My request was granted, and I was driven home because it did not seem wise for me to drive. Just before leaving the office I telephoned my wife at the office where she worked, and all I was able to say was, "Help me."
