I attended a Christian Science...

I attended a Christian Science church for the first time over twenty-five years ago, and since then I have indeed found true happiness and joy in the study of this wonderful religion. I have experienced many physical healings of various kinds, much growth and progress in the understanding of God and of man, and blessings untold in the overcoming of false traits of character and disposition, and I have learned the real meaning of love.

For all this I am deeply grateful. But I feel that the healing that has meant the most to me and that has been the cause of my greatest rejoicing is one that occurred a few years ago.

Within a period of eight months I lost the company of three members of my family who had been very dear and near to me. First my father and my uncle passed on, and then my mother collapsed mentally. When all this happened, there was so much to do that I did not have time to think about it. But when we had settled down again I began to feel very keenly the loss of the company of these dear ones. A tremendous sense of grief and of longing for them almost overwhelmed me. Of course I prayed very earnestly, as I had been taught in Christian Science, to overcome this.
