"The prosperity of Christian Science"

To one seeking an answer to a difficult problem, the weekly Lesson-Sermon given in the Christian Science Quarterly for the current week offers a positive aid in arriving at a solution. The Lesson-Sermon comes to the individual student of Christian Science, presenting spiritual ideas applicable to specific human needs.

The value of the weekly lesson becomes clearer when we take notice of Mrs. Eddy's instructions to Readers given in the Church Manual, Article III, Section 1, which begins, "The Readers of The Mother Church and of all its branch churches must devote a suitable portion of their time to preparation for the reading of the Sunday lesson,—a lesson on which the prosperity of Christian Science largely depends."

"The prosperity of Christian Science" is of importance to each of us. If it prospers in our individual lives, we are solving the problems which face us and progressing toward final victory over sin, disease, and death. If it prospers in our church, the church is growing in effectiveness. If it prospers in the world, the healing power of divine Truth is changing the world, conquering immorality, uncertainty, materiality with immortal wisdom and Love —assuring peace.
