I am humbly grateful that God led me to Christian Science. Although I was in great need of physical healing, I did not know that I would find it in Science. I was seeking a religion that would give me a clear understanding of God. Reared in a Protestant church, I turned away from it with a sincere desire to find an answer to my questions about life and true being—to find God.

My mother heard of Christian Science and asked me to read the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. After reading the first chapter, which is on Prayer, I knew that God had given me my answer. Later a friend explained to me how to study the Bible Lesson, outlined in the Christian Science Quarterly. I began to read the other writings of our Leader and to attend the church services and Christian Science lectures.

I found great joy and courage in each day's study. A great desire to be a church member and to give to and serve in this great Cause brought continuous regeneration. I was being blessed with God's abundance of good in recognizing God's protection, harmony, and supply. I had no further medical treatment. I realized that ailments such as colds and headaches, which had always limited my activity, had completely disappeared.
