I should like to express my sincere...
I should like to express my sincere gratitude for Christian Science and the many blessings its application has brought to my family.
When one of our sons was four months old he became ill with diarrhea. The practitioner who was helping us came to our home. Together we pondered Mrs. Eddy's answer to the question, "What is God?" found on page 465 in Science and Health. It reads, "God is incorporeal, divine, supreme, infinite Mind, Spirit, Soul, Principle, Life, Truth, Love." We prayed to understand that man's life is God and is not in a material body.
Toward morning the baby appeared to be in a coma. We went into the other room and prayed for guidance. The words came to me, "Loose him, and let him go" (John 11:44). I realized clearly that I was binding him with a false sense of mother love and that I must release him so that the effect of understanding his complete perfection as a spiritual idea in God could be manifested.
