I never intended to be a Christian Scientist....

I never intended to be a Christian Scientist. During a time of grief and stress a friend took me to a service in a Church of Christ, Scientist, where I found comfort. I was reared in an orthodox church, and I felt God was far away and too busy for me to bother Him. I read and reread the inscription on the church wall taken from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." It seemed as if that Love was ready to help me.

One evening in the service I was healed of a cold as I listened to someone behind me in the congregation singing Hymn No. 64 inthe Christian Science Hymnal. When he came to the words, "The loveliness of Love is all around," it seemed more wonderful than anything I had ever heard.

Christian Science has become the way of Life to me. It has brought many healings, a sureness of direction and guidance, an inner peace, and a growing understanding of God's love for His child.
