RADIO PROGRAM No. 31 - "A sound mind"

HOST: Not long ago readers of New York City newspapers were startled by the news that a study of residents in a midtown Manhattan area had led a group of sociologists and psychiatrists to the conclusion that 80 per cent of the people there showed signs of mental disturbance. Their report stated that 20 per cent of the individuals tested had problems severe enough to interfere seriously with their adjustment to life. What's the answer to such problems?

Many of us have shared, at least in a measure, how it feels to be frustrated, anxious, and even in despair. And some may have relatives or friends who are undergoing even deeper mental disturbances as a result of illness or personal tragedy.

In this radio series we've been turning to the Bible to find solutions to the challenging problems of today. How does the Bible speak to us on this question of mental health?
