Church Dedications
Rutherglen Reformer
Rutherglen, Lanarkshire, Scotland (Society).
With the dedication on Sunday of the red sandstone church at 46 Greenhill Road, the small Christian Science community in the burgh has taken yet another step forward in the quest for full church status.
It is only 16 years since the small body of Christian Scientists in the burgh obtained official recognition by The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. But since 1941 there has been an avowed intention to have their own church when circumstances would permit.
