Masterful Living
"Jesus never could have mastered mortality if he had
not recognized the... unreality of matter"
If we contemplate what is involved in actually following the direction that Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, gives on page 419 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" to "meet every adverse circumstance as its master," we may be tempted to think that it is impossible of fulfillment. If we yield to the temptation to believe that any good is impossible, we will be deprived of the demonstration of the endless joys that are the realities of being. In fact, it is this apparent deprivation that makes up the appearance of life as material.
