"The ever-presence of ministering Love"

Divine Love , we learn in Christian Science, is ever present, for it is God. Infinite Love is made known to humanity through the spiritual senses. The more spiritually clear our thoughts are, the more evident angel messages of Love will become to us. If we feel the need of "ministering Love," we cannot afford to allow the windows of our consciousness to become soiled.

Regardless of the circumstances of our thoughts or lives, there is always at hand the tender assistance of Love, which can be employed when we find ourselves in the depths of despair. Love is existent whenever and wherever there is a need for its gentle but firm care. Mrs. Eddy points out in Science and Health (p. 574), "The very circumstance, which your suffering sense deems wrathful and afflictive, Love can make an angel entertained unawares." One who is in a state of discord needs only to lift his thought above the turmoil of the senses to God to find His presence right at hand.

In the Bible, angels are often personified, and it is not strange, therefore, that artists and others depict them in human forms with wings. And there are spiritually minded individuals in our midst today who personify the characteristics of angels—of either a Michael or a Gabriel—in their strength or tenderness.
