If one is to become proficient in certain subjects, it is generally necessary not only to study textbooks but to be instructed by a qualified teacher. The same is true of Christian Science. After the student has studied the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy and has demonstrated in a measure the fundamental truths of this Science, it is well for him seriously to contemplate class instruction by an authorized teacher early in his experience.
