I have received much joy from the testimonies in our Christian Science periodicals. When I was a little child, they, along with the stories in the Holy Bible, were of great interest to me. At twelve I joined The Mother Church. This was one of my first cherished experiences in Christian Science. It was my privilege to attend the Sunday School for seventeen years, and I have had many healings through the application of this Science.

A wart vanished from my heel when I was a young girl. My classmates who had the same difficulty were having them burned out. Then athlete's foot appeared in our school. I was alert this time, and the condition did not touch me. It rapidly disappeared in the experiences of the other school children also.

One day while I was riding horseback with my brother and a friend, my horse turned quickly to one side. This action threw me in an opposite direction, and I slid out of the saddle and onto the ground. The horse was so startled by this that he lurched forward. My foot was caught in the stirrup, and the lurch of the horse lodged the foot even more firmly. The frightened horse took off across the field, dragging me. I can remember saying, "God is here!" While the horse galloped, I was able to pull myself up to a position where I could control him. I was bruised slightly and trembling, and I was also thanking God.
