WORDS OF CURRENT INTEREST
[The words in this issue are related to the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly designated to he read in Christian Science churches on April 9, 1961.]
His goodness... with goodness (Ps. 107:8, 9)
As used here, "goodness" represents two different Hebrew words. In verse 8 "goodness" translates the Hebrew chesed, which has a variety of meanings, including "love, mercy, kindness" as well as "goodness." The noun tobah, rendered "goodness" in verse 9, means more specifically "good things, prosperity, good, welfare, benefit."
Is not my way equal? (Ezek. 18:25)
