THE SINLESS JOY
I dwelt
a time in darkness,
The Word seemed weak and cold;
I clung to Truth steadfastly,
But joy seemed hard to hold.
Then came the time of triumph.
With opened eyes I viewed
Love's ever-present brightness.
My spirit was renewed.
Oh, light of revelation,
That warms and cheers and heals!
No human way can bring us
The joy that Soul reveals.
