Christian Science has been the healing, purifying force in my life for many years. During this time many healings have taken place, and my gratitude for them is boundless.

Both my parents were osteopaths; so I was steeped in medical theories. After my marriage I had friends who were Christian Scientists, and I knew that they had received healings through reliance on the teachings of their religion. I accepted that as a fact, but, to me, it was incomprehensible. Finally, at a time of need, I decided to see if Science could free me from the inharmonies in which I was enmeshed.

I called a friend in a nearby town and asked her to tell me the name of a practitioner. She gave me the names of several, and I chose one and went to see her. After leaving her, I went to a Christian Science Reading Room, where I bought a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and the current issue of the Christian Science Quarterly, in which are published the weekly Bible Lessons. From that day I have studied Christian Science earnestly and faithfully.
