For many years I have relied solely on Christian Science for help and healing. It has always met my need.

One summer my left ankle became swollen. Although I was able to keep on with my usual activities, the foot was painful. I asked a Christian Science practitioner to help me through prayer. The leaven of that righteous prayer began its work even before the physical evidence changed.

At that time I was associated with one who seemed to me to be very selfish and dictatorial. Troubled by this, I went to a Christian Science Reading Room and prayerfully asked God for guidance. I knew I was hungry and thirsty for righteousness and I knew God would fill this need. "Miscellaneous Writings" by Mrs. Eddy lay near at hand. I opened it to page 167 and read the questions and answers referring to the Christ, the spiritual idea, in the article entitled "A Christmas Sermon." The first one is, "Is he deformed?" The answer is, "He is wholly symmetrical; the one altogether lovely."
