The blessings which have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science are many and varied. Outstanding among them is the harmony which attended the births of my two sons. The delivery in each case was in my own home, and the second one was entirely without pain.

I shall always be grateful for the help of a Christian Science practitioner during these experiences. She explained to me that in reality the process is not one of material birth, but of spiritual unfoldment. When one understands this spiritual truth, she made clear, the birth can no more occasion pain or anxiety than can the opening of the petals of a flower.

A healing of great importance to me was the overcoming of shock and sorrow when my mother passed on suddenly. She lived in a city several hundred miles away. I had that day received a letter from her in which she stated that her health was good and that all was well with her. Late that night I received a telephone call which brought word of her passing.
