Every Christian Scientist is...
Every Christian Scientist is grateful for the blessings which Science brings to him and for the constant protecting power of this religion. When he applies its teachings, he is able to demonstrate the practicability of Christian Science.
During 1958 I had the opportunity to live in Germany and to work there for five months. I traveled extensively by automobile and by train, visiting nine large cities.
For six weeks during the summer my companion and I worked and lived in a German work camp, along with six other Americans of orthodox religions. The food we were given in the camp was different in quality from anything I had ever eaten. Soon it was a struggle for me to enter the dining hall. Then I was bedridden for ten days with a severely inflamed throat, accompanied by a frightening, persistent cough.
