Sharing Good News Through the Monitor

More and more readers of The Christian Science Monitor place gift subscriptions to help neighbors, friends, or business associates. This is a simple, practical way to share the good news of Monitor reading. Through gift subscriptions many of the recipients see this daily newspaper for the first time.

Gift subscriptions originate in numerous ways. A housewife heard a neighbor express the wish that she could find a newspaper suitable for her whole family. The wife of a college professor wanted to provide an exchange student with a worthwhile daily newspaper. Parents of a college student decided to furnish a subscription as a research and classroom aid. A branch church executive board gave subscriptions to all of the clergymen in the community who would accept them. A branch church learned of the local school's high regard for the Monitor and voted to supply subscriptions to several classes. Individual church members often provide a quantity of Monitors for classroom study projects.

Letters of appreciation from gift recipients show the value of sharing our international daily newspaper with others.
