In love and gratitude to God and...

In love and gratitude to God and to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has explained Christ Jesus' wonderful works, I should like to add my deep appreciation to that of many who have received blessings from Christian Science. I had been suffering from a condition that resembled tuberculosis. Several doctors had prescribed medicine, but none of it seemed to help. As the condition grew worse, I became weaker.

The doctors decided that I should go to a hospital. After they had made many tests, it was predicted that I would never be well; so I was sent home. I suffered for two more years. During part of that time I studied Christian Science. It gave me a better understanding of God.

One night I fell on my knees and prayed to God as well as I knew how. I had learned through my reading of Science and Health that we must deny error and know Gods allness. I held in my thought that God is man's Life and is ever present. I held to Mrs. Eddy's words from Science and Health (p. 494): "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." I prayed with an honest and humble heart. When I came downstairs, I found that I was completely healed. That was the end of the disease. This healing took place over fifteen years ago.
